As an international student from Asia, Hong lives in a country that has a significant gap in her cultural background. Such cultural differences always bring about different views on things. And these things caused by cultural differences are also part of Hong's work.

Most of Hong's works are human images because she thinks that human beings are exciting content which is worthy of further exploration and research.

Because for her, the leading player in this society is human beings, and human beings are also the initiators of most social phenomena. Then using human images to express is an appropriate choice.

Hong uses the work as a medium for recording daily life and contemporary social phenomena and then presents it to the audience. She hopes that through her works, people can understand her life and her views and views on social phenomena.
